Lynn Loop in Lynn Headwaters Regional Park.<\/p><\/div>\n

Greater Vancouver boasts some of B.C.\u2019s best easy hikes that take you deep into nature. The following five hikes promise to be scenic, without all the hard work.<\/p>\n

1. Lynn Loop<\/h2>\n

Nestled in Lynn Headwaters Regional Park, Lynn Loop takes you through the Lynn Valley forest and circles back following the cool Lynn Creek waters. This easy five-kilometre round trip takes approximately one and a half hours to complete, is dog-friendly and accessible by Vancouver transit. You can even fill up on fresh spring water right from the parking lot. If you want a bit of a challenge, there are over 20 kilometres of trails, including Lynn Peak, which is sometimes compared to the Grouse Grind.<\/p>\n

2. Cypress Falls<\/h2>\n

Cypress Falls is another easy hike that follows a creek along a wooded path. You\u2019ll find yourself amongst a forest of old cedars and Douglas firs as the trail leads you to two beautiful waterfalls. Set aside about four hours to complete this two-kilometre hike. If you\u2019re looking for a quicker walk, the waterfalls can be reached in under 30 minutes.<\/p>\n

3. Lions Bay Loop<\/h2>\n

You can start the Lions Bay Loop from the General Store and Caf\u00e9. The trail will take you through lush forest where you can even learn about the scenery through placards located along the first stretches of the 4.5-kilometre path. Don\u2019t mistake the Lions Binkert Trail for the Lions Bay Loop or you\u2019ll be seriously sore the next day. However, you can brave the 16-kilometre hike, accessed by a short drive further north, if you\u2019re the kind of hiker who wants a steep elevation gain.<\/p>\n

4. Whyte Lake<\/h2>\n

A popular West Vancouver destination for sunbathers and swimmers, Whyte Lake is also home to an easy six-kilometre hike. The loop can be completed in two hours taking you along Nelson Creek and through a forest of giant old growths. There\u2019s a bit of a steep start to the trail, but overall it\u2019s an easy and scenic trip.<\/p>\n

5. Capilano Pacific Trail<\/h2>\n

The Capilano Pacific Trail is a longer hike, but relatively easy. Spanning 15 kilometres, the trail takes you along the Capilano River through Capilano River Regional Park where you\u2019ll pass the fish hatchery, Cleveland Dam, and Capilano Lake. Reserve about four hours for the round trip. For a shorter hike in the same area, try the Capilano Canyon trail and don\u2019t miss the Capilano Suspension Bridge.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
