{"id":145,"date":"2014-11-05T19:41:11","date_gmt":"2014-11-05T19:41:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chrisbrownrealestate.ca\/blog\/?p=145"},"modified":"2014-11-05T19:41:11","modified_gmt":"2014-11-05T19:41:11","slug":"vancouvers-real-estate-forecast-to-stay-hot-into-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chrisbrownrealestate.ca\/blog\/vancouvers-real-estate-forecast-to-stay-hot-into-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Vancouver\u2019s real estate forecast to stay hot into 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_146\" style=\"width: 710px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/chrisbrownrealestate.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/cove-gardens.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-146\" class=\"wp-image-146 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/chrisbrownrealestate.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/cove-gardens-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"Recently completed and sold out Cove Garden townhomes.\" width=\"700\" height=\"466\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.chrisbrownrealestate.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/cove-gardens-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.chrisbrownrealestate.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/cove-gardens-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.chrisbrownrealestate.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/cove-gardens.jpg 1350w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-146\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Recently completed and sold out Cove Garden townhomes in Deep Cove.<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">Foreign money and a robust provincial economy will preclude any cooling of Vancouver\u2019s red-hot property market next year, according to a major real estate study being released Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">Office space is the one real-estate category where an oversupply is forecast in the city, to be accompanied by potential downward pressure on pricing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">That assessment comes courtesy of a voluminous annual report, titled Emerging Real Estate Trends 2015, issued jointly by the Urban Land Institute and PricewaterhouseCoopers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">It describes Vancouver\u2019s market as one of the country\u2019s \u201cbest bets\u201d in 2015, fourth strongest in the country in terms of investment, development and housing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">Vancouver trails Calgary and Edmonton, boosted by Alberta\u2019s resource industry, and Toronto, where a still-strong condo market is being bolstered by people flocking to live downtown, in more compact spaces.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">The report\u2019s bullishness on Vancouver is tied to a recent Conference Board of Canada prediction that, during the next three years, the West Coast city will lead all other major urban centres in economic growth \u2014 with a 3.2-per-cent annual increase in output.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">The report also cites the role being played by Greater Vancouver\u2019s relatively new tech industry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">And, of course, Vancouver is \u201ca hedge city.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">It \u201clacks the cachet of Paris or Milan,\u201d opines the report. \u201cBut it does offer &#8230;
